The Avon International Women's Day event
When: March 6 2017
Where: London, United Kingdom
Avon invites you to a special event to mark International Women’s Day and launch the next chapter of its commitment to ending domestic violence and supporting survivors.
Featuring key notes from Avon CEO Sheri McCoy and Refuge CEO Sandra Horley CBE, the event will examine new research that looks at non-physical violence and coercive control among 16-21 year olds.
A panel of esteemed global experts in violence against women and girls will debate the issues, and an interactive exhibition will show the changing nature of the issue and the impactful campaigns that have been created to tackle domestic violence.
Hosted at Somerset House, on the banks of Waterloo Bridge, most recently celebrated as ‘Ladies Bridge’ for the role women played in its construction, the evening will host delegates from around the world who are leading authorities on empowerment and women’s issues.
