"From water purification to new bridges, our work revolves around trying to make life better for local communities. Gender equality must be at the forefront of our minds or we begin with half the population on an uneven footing. We simply cannot make the world a better place if we don’t tackle gender inequality as a priority.
"At Mott MacDonald, we recognise that such a situation is untenable in a company that wants to remain relevant and competitive in today’s world. In the UK, we’ve taken positive steps towards gender parity with our career development programmes for women, unconscious bias training for senior staff and engagement with schools, and we realise it will take a continuous effort to really embed change. We will look to roll out similar programmes in other parts of the business, as we move forward.
