IWD 2020
At Lean In, we believe an equal world is a better world—and we each have a role to play in creating it. A world where anyone can pursue their dreams without bias holding them back. Where more women run companies and countries. Where women and girls are valued as equal to men and boys, and everyone gets a fair shot.
That’s why we’re joining the 2020 International Women’s Day campaign #EachforEqual - and arming companies with the tools to support women, fight bias, and level the playing field. By actively challenging the systemic barriers holding women back in the workplace, each of us can contribute to creating an equal world where everyone can thrive.
It’s 2020, and we are far from living in an equal and inclusive world. Despite rising company commitment to gender diversity, women - and particularly women of color - continue to be underrepresented at every level. Women in the Workplace is the largest study of the state of women in corporate America, based on five years of data from almost 600 companies.
Our 2019 report provides companies with a roadmap for change, including data-driven recommendations for increasing representation, best practices for inclusive hiring and promotions, and insights into& the experiences of women of color, LGBTQ women, and women with disabilities.
This International Women’s Day, we have created a variety of resources that enable anyone across the world to take action and commit to #EachforEqual. Whether through 50 Ways to Fight Bias, our card-based activity that empowers employees to challenge bias at work; or by bringing n together as part of Lean In Circles, these tools can help you create a more equal workplace, and contribute towards a more equal world.
