For more than 100 years Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting has transformed the lives of girls and young women worldwide. WAGGGS is a membership organisation bringing together Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting in 153 countries and territories, representing 10.8 million girls and young women around the world.

Volunteering is at the very core of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting - we impact the lives of millions of girls and young women ever year thanks to the hard work of our dedicated volunteers around the globe.

Through Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting, girls and young women learn to believe in their power to help themselves and others. This resilience and agency enables them to thrive in a changing world, not only as future leaders but also as leaders today. Girl Guides and Girl Scouts are active agents of change who dedicate time to educate, raise awareness and advocate, bringing about positive change on issues affecting girls in their communities.

WAGGGS delivers non-formal education programmes, leadership development, advocacy, and community action; enabling girls and young women to develop the skills and confidence needed to make positive changes in their lives, their communities, and their countries.

Around the globe, we have five World Centres where Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from all corners of the globe can come together to participate in meaningful, life-changing experiences.
