F1 Academy highlights the strength of women across the industry to inspire the next generation

Have you been following the impressive journey of F1 Academy?

Championing change, F1 Academy inspires and supports young girls and women worldwide to embark on their own journeys in motorsport.

Led by the ever-impressive Susie Wolff, F1 Academy's mission and impact are truly considerable.

The race for change

Motorsport has historically had very few women reach the top tiers of Formula One. But that will change, thanks to the tenacious efforts of F1 Academy.

The group provides significant support through structured training, racing experience, and visibility, so that talented female drivers can climb the motorsport ladder.

For International Women's Day, the women of F1 Academy reflected on the power of support, opportunity, and giving back to the next generation.

"The 2026 theme Give To Gain was the perfect opportunity for our team to share the strength of women across the industry while speaking to the next generation," said F1 Academy.

Great encouragement for the next generation

The team at F1 Academy are very generous with their support and encouragement. They are committed to developing and preparing young female drivers for higher levels of motorsport competition, ultimately creating a stronger pathway for women to reach Formula 1 - providing crucial track time, technical, physical, and mental support.

"It means a lot to me to support the next generation of people coming into these types of roles, not just in the race and track space, but also in those background roles that prove important to keep everything going," said Charlotte Hicks, Category Manager at F1 Academy.

"I hope that women being in this sport and feeling included becomes just the status quo and not the exception..." said Katie McGuiness, Communications Manager at F1 Academy.

"I hope for the next generation of women in motorsport, they can come on to track and see someone like me who is doing a job that they've never thought they might want to do, but when they see me doing my job, would consider it and...take the steps to achieve it," said Timbo Isikalu, Partnerships Executive at F1 Academy.
