Gender parity specialist promoting financial inclusion, gender diversity and leadership to bridge the gender gap
Ibukun Omololu is a gifted public speaker, author, podcaster, and seasoned banker.
With over 14 years of corporate experience, Ibukun headed the Women Banking Unit of Sterling Bank - a leading financial institution in Nigeria. As a product manager,she provided strategic oversight on the Women Banking Desk of the bank, designing solutions tailored to the needs of the women customer segment, enabling access to financial services.
Ibukun’s work of advisory, consulting, and capacity building promoted financial inclusion that reached over 4000 women across various projects such as the EDC/CherieBlair/Exxon Mobil Foundation Road2Growth project, Flourish Africa Foundation project, CBN Stakeholders Roundtable amongst others.
Her passion for socio-economic development of women, led her to champion the formation of The Bloom Network – an initiative designed to groom and optimize leadership capabilities for women across essential business areas at Sterling Bank. This among other achievements culminated in the Bank winning the prestigious 2017 CBN Sustainability Award for Women Banking.
Ibukun has spoken for organizations such as ExxonMobil, Flour Mills of Nigeria, 40+ Women Show on Personal Finance, Gender Matters, Personal Brand, and how to create a Women Empowerment Network. She has also spoken at several industry conferences such as:
- The 14th EDC SME Conference of the Pan Atlantic University(LBS),
- Covenant Women MSME Conference,
- 40+ Women (Rejuvenate Conference), etc.
Ibukun has been featured in numerous newspaper articles such as Allure of the Vanguard Woman, Guardian Woman, The Sun and was also featured on TVC Wake up Nigeria Show.
She is the author of 3 books, the most prominent being “Behind the Little Bundles of Joy,” which she uses to prepare and educate women about childbirth and post-partum care.
As the producer of the podcast “Being More with Ibukun Omololu,” she hopes to inspire more women to amplify their voices and hone their leadership skills for more impact and influence.
