Respect for diversity and inclusion

IWD 2020
I want to wish everyone a fulfilling International Women's Day, and I am greatly pleased to celebrate this day once again with people around the globe.
Diversity & Inclusion represents one of NTT DATA’s important management strategies, and it is a pillar of our vision to be a "Trusted Global Innovator" that leverages respect for diversity to enhance creativity in the workplace.
In our current tri-annual mid-term management plan, we committed our support to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and we aim for sustainable growth and improvement of the value we co-create with clients to achieve a better society.
Major areas of progress during the previous year include:
- a diversity and inclusion forum at our company’s annual global conference in Chile on October 2019. At this event, about 300 company leaders from around the world focused on accelerating women‘s equality and empowerment in the workplace. NTT DATA will hold this session regularly.
- a pilot program to leverage a toolkit for the UN’s Women‘s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). This is a practical guide to help internationally distributed organizations such as NTT DATA comply with the WEPs. In all, 20 NTT DATA teams in 17 countries participated in the pilot in the past year.
As a Japan-based company, we are greatly honored to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo from this July to September.
NTT DATA and about 130,000 of our employees around the world are committed to cultivating an environment in which diverse talents can maximize their abilities and play active roles in advancing information technology (IT).
NTT DATA contributes to the achievement of the SDGs and being #EachforEqual.
