Continuing our efforts to achieve an #EachforEqual world

IWD 2020
We believe that diversity of culture, gender, age, experience and expertise enhance our ability to operate effectively and ethically, whilst increasing the sustainability of our business.
We are acutely aware that our business is more sustainable and therefore better able to drive value for all our stakeholders, if we can draw on a wealth of diverse experience.
We seek to increase diversity at all levels of the organisation, with a particular focus on gender diversity. Our Diversity and Inclusion Policy outlines, amongst other things, our commitment to provide equality, fairness and respect for all employees, regardless of background.
During 2019, we formalised our commitment to ensuring more diverse shortlists for external recruitment and have asked the Human Resources managers of our operating companies not to accept shortlists from recruiters that do not include at least one strong female candidate. We also completed our first full year of our Executive Mentoring Programme, designed to accelerate the development of high-potential women and strengthen the pipeline of female talent.
We have plenty on the agenda for 2020 to champion our commitment to equal opportunities further. Initiatives include the launch of a Women’s Personal and Career Development Network and the roll out of an inclusive leadership training programme.
Spirax-Sarco Engineering is absolutely committed to continuing our efforts to achieve an #EachforEqual world and with continued vigor, we encourage equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplaces, recognising the value that the diversity of our employees bring to our business. We strive to create a supportive and understanding environment in which all individuals can realise their potential, regardless of differences, and we are delighted to be supporting International Women’s Day, an event that supports these views. IWD may be about women but I do not see it as being exclusively for women, since all of my colleagues have a shared interest in maximising the talent we have here, regardless of background.
