Building a winning business through gender equality and diversity

IWD 2021
This International Women's Day is the fourth that Theramex has participated in since the company's inception in 2018. Our work takes us across the evolving needs of women as they move through different stages in their lives. From contraception to fertility, menopause to osteoporosis, women are our patients and our passion. Our involvement in International Women’s Day provides an important opportunity to reinforce that our work is more of a duty than a job and we are working to improve the lives of women across the globe. International Women’s Day is the fulcrum of Theramex’s Corporate Social Responsibility as well as a focus for some of our employee engagement initiatives. Each year we are committed to celebrate and support the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
At Theramex, there is a recognition that not only diversity, but a gender-equal workforce brings in a wealth of benefits and value to our business. We have moved the needle actively, so today 56% of our workforce is women compared to 48% in 2019. Today, 67% of our senior global positions are occupied by women compared to 40% in 2019. We are not standing still; we recognise we have a lot more to achieve. This year's theme #ChooseToChallenge resonates with Theramex’s culture. A culture where we are constantly challenging taboos relating to women's health such as infertility and menopause through awareness and conversations around these important topics which affect women’s health.
Our commitment to ‘helping women to live better lives’ remains constant. For this year’s International Women’s Day, we are partnering with Binti International, a UK based charity whose mission is to provide menstrual dignity to all girls all over the world.
On International Women’s Day 2021, and on behalf of the leadership team at Theramex, I pledge to challenge ourselves to go further to enhance opportunities for our teams, to challenge unconscious gender bias and inequality.
