Building the inclusive future we all want

Aiman Ezzat, CEO, Capgemini

 IWD 2021

Last year Capgemini launched its purpose: to unleash human energy through technology for an inclusive and sustainable future. As a diverse team of 270,000 people spread across 50 countries, we understand the power of inclusion, and our commitment to building this future has never been stronger.

We believe the things that make people different are a source of innovation and creativity. They enable us to generate new ideas, anticipate market trends and be thought leaders in our chosen markets. Every day, we commit to build a more inclusive and equitable workplace where all our employees can be their authentic selves and do their best work, and where people of all backgrounds can thrive.

In 2020, together, we showed resilience and agility. We know the pandemic has had an enhanced impact on women, and we have renewed our efforts to #ChooseToChallenge existing ways of working, biases and stereotypes. We have been listening to our people, delivering to our clients in new ways and evolving our operating model.

By harnessing remote and agile working to create more flexibility and opportunities for our people, we are also increasing access to our industry and enabling greater gender parity in caring responsibilities and working patterns.

The past year has shown improvement in our gender balance; we are proud to say it has progressed like never before.  But it is only the beginning of the journey.

To get the future we want, we must all #ChooseToChallenge.
