Unify to amplify
Rahul Kanodia, Vice Chairman & CEO, Datamatics Global Services Limited
IWD 2022
At Datamatics, our constant endeavour is to make everyone feel respected and supported. We consider Merit to be the only criterion for a professional’s career advancement and this philosophy has helped #BreakTheBias, build credibility for our DEI initiatives. By partnering with Industry leaders in Assessments, we look at competency-based talent evaluation for acquired skills, knowledge, and underlying employability traits, rather than let any sub-conscious biases impact our decisions.
At any given point in time, the presence of women employees ranges from 36%-42% globally. This increasingly healthy gender ratio rings true even with our offices in tier 2/3 cities (some having a ratio of 45:55). With the current hybrid working model in place globally, we are looking forward to more employees with diverse backgrounds joining us at Datamatics, since we firmly believe Complex Problems need Diverse Solutions
On International Women’s Day, 8th March 2020, we launched the 'Datamatics Diversity Charter', formalising our continued commitment to a) Equity in the Workplace, b) Affirmative Actions, and c) Inclusive work Environment, all based on merit. Shortly after, we pledged our support and became signatories to Women Empowerment Principles (a primary vehicle for corporate delivery on gender equality dimensions of the 2030 agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals).
That our continued commitment has been recognised by UN GCNI, UN Women India and NASSCOM (for Gender Agnostic – Talent Acquisition), amongst others, is a matter of pride for us. We continue to Unify to Amplify our voices, to #BreakTheBias and progress towards a gender-equal world.
