Sanctuary is focused on building affordable homes and sustainable communities. We believe the best and most sustainable communities are those that are inclusive and inspire us all to be our best selves.

We have over 13,000 employees UK-wide, of which almost 9,000 are women. Women are leading and contributing at every level of Sanctuary and in every area of our organisation, from strategic decision making on Group Board to leading construction teams, from caring for older people to managing huge financial transactions.

They are leading with passion, innovation and integrity and creating an inclusive culture where we can all thrive.

While we are keen to celebrate the achievements of women, we recognise that we’re not yet able to say ‘job done’.

There is much further we can and should go in terms of changing societal and structural barriers, breaking biases and creating genuine equality.

Under my leadership, Sanctuary is determined to work together, as one team, to play our part in progressing women’s rights and gender equality.
