HIA Building Women aims to help build an industry where women can thrive.

The purpose is to celebrate the achievements and contributions that women have made in building and trades, planning, architecture, design, legal services, and a variety of other building professions across the residential building industry.

Not only will you enjoy a delicious three course lunch, but you will also be captivated by Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert's fascinating story of her 804 days in an Iran prison as well as hearing from our panel of experts.

Gemma also gained an MBA/MA from the Lauder Institute and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a BA from University College London, and the highly prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst qualification.

Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert - Keynote Speaker and Panelist

Kylie is the author of the remarkable memoir The Uncaged Sky, which details the 804 days she spent as a political prisoner in Iran. Held for a year in solitary confinement, Kylie was pushed to her limits by extreme physical and psychological deprivation. Kylie has been a vocal advocate for human and women’s rights in Iran and has campaigned in support of other victims of arbitrary detention around the world.
