Vox Anima London and Hennessey Brown Music present a festival choral concert for International Women's Day exploring the power of music and its ability to heal, unite and inspire.

A chorus of female voices from either side of the Atlantic will perform the music of female composers, with Cecilia McDowall's poignant Everyday Wonders: The Girl From Aleppo and a World Premiere commission by emerging American composer Hannah Rice at the heart of a programme built around themes of courage, resilience, unity, empowerment and hope.

The concert will be opened by Amies Freedom Choir - this incredible choir aims to develop the musical and cultural awareness of young women who have survived trafficking by exploring songs and musical styles from each others' cultures and languages.

The evening will also feature renowned ensemble The Queen's Six singing their newest programme "Mapping the Stars."

The concert takes place at Cadogan Hall, London, at 7pm on Wednesday, 6 March 2024. Tickets priced £10-£25.
