1000 swimmers wanted for the UK's biggest sea swim.

In 2025, we will be running our third annual sea swimming event.

We plan to run a dual location sea swim to ensure that you are part of the UK’s biggest sea swimming event to celebrate International Women’s Day and champion women across the UK.

This event is hosted by PinkNicky and Land and Wave.

In 2023, we had 250 swimmers.

In 2024, we had 500 swimmers.

And in 2025, we are aiming for 1000 swimmers to unite on Saturday, 8th March 2025, in East Sussex, Brighton and Dorset, Poole.

The Big Swim launches January 20th, 2025 at NOON.

The aim of the event:

- To celebrate IWD 2025 and to gather 1000 of the South Coast’s Sea Swimmers in two places at one time for two very big photos
- Unite us all through our love of the sea and show our support for women worldwide.
- Create a noisy, colourful spectacle on the beach
- To support #IWD2025  and amplify the message #AccelerateAction.
- Fundraise for Surfers Against Sewage

Event highlights:
- Dual location to reach more swimmers
- Co-hosted by Land and Wave, a leading outdoor adventure provider dedicated to promoting greater inclusion of women in the outdoor adventure industry.
- Experience the energy of last year’s success through our 2023 gallery and drone footage, offering a stunning preview of what’s to come.

Our IWD 2024 event was featured on BBC TV and Radio - we will be inviting them again!

We will work with Sea Lanes, the UK’s National Sea Swimming Centre, and local podcasters, artists, and authors to kick things off!

The event has full safety coverage with lifeguards and first aiders. This is an outdoor event, so be ready for the weather.
