Striving to create a strong sense of belonging

DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. But if you ask me, inclusion is first.

At Rexel USA, we take this idea further, striving to create a strong sense of belonging for everyone on our team. This is our priority.

As we celebrate International Women's Day (IWD), this year's theme, #InspireInclusion, resonates with our industry.

Electrical distribution has long been known as a male-dominated space, but that has changed. More women are empowered to join this workforce, taking on many valuable roles and making significant contributions across our organization.

At Rexel USA, we strive to #InspireInclusion. For example, our grassroots organization, Women in Rexel (WIRe), is a community that promotes collaboration, encourages development, and inspires empowerment by creating an environment that recognizes the value of our diversity. The men on our team have also joined to support and advocate for #InspireInclusion. In addition, we are taking steps to mentor women across the company. Women of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds come together to share their experiences and learn about the opportunities for them within our company.

We are excited to see more women in sales, project management, analytics, finance, operations, logistics, and senior leadership positions. The diversity of our workforce is making us a more vital partner for our customers and suppliers: it is the DNA of our culture.

Our industry is exciting; it’s at the forefront of new energy solutions to create a sustainable future, and there is a role for everyone.

While great strides have been made, there is more work to be done.

In 2024, we will continue to #InspireInclusion and help forge a better, more inclusive place for all women.
