Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert on the first Wednesday morning of each month at 11am at The David Hall: informal music events with a pop-up café half an hour open before the concert where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music.

March’s concert is a collection of music by women composers to mark International Women’s Day (8th March). The programme includes the Phantasy Trio by Irish composer Joan Trimble, and works by Rosalind Ellicott, Elfrida Andrée, Adela Maddison,  Dora Pejacevic, Fanny Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann.

Concerts last c45m. Entrance - or rather exit! - is by donation, with a retiring collection. An RSVP via our website is much appreciated but not essential. Turn up early to be sure of a table and best choice of cakes as these events are popular.

ABOUT TRIO PARADIS
Trio Paradis - Jacquelyn Bevan (piano), Ruth O'Shea (violin) & Linda Stocks (cello) - are a classical piano trio based in Bath who perform Café Concerts at community venues across Somerset and Wiltshire: daytime concerts with a café where audience members can chat with friends and make new ones. We perform music in a variety of styles, brought together in a themed programme, and the atmosphere is informal and welcoming.  Our aim is to develop Friendship through Music.

We are passionate about bringing the music of female composers - and other under-performed composers - to a wider audience, and we include works by women in virtually every one of our concerts since Trio Paradis formed in 2009. Our March programme each year consists exclusively of music by female composers in celebration of International Women's Day.
