Berks & Bucks FA are celebrating International Women's Day 2025.

To mark International Women’s Day 2025, Berks & Bucks FA are hosting an event to celebrate and to also highlight the continued improvement required to support the growth of females in football. The event will be on IWD itself, Saturday 8th March, 5:45pm-9pm at the Select Car Leasing Stadium (Reading FC).

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

Berks & Bucks FA are committed to improve the environment for females in football and to give more opportunities for females to be involved in the game as players, coaches, referees, volunteers and leaders.

We will be encouraging Females & everyone across BBFA to attend with the evening being a celebration of female’s achievements plus the opportunity to network and engage and to talk about some of the barriers females face in the game.

We are delighted to be joined by our special guest for the evening, Anita Abayomi. Anita is a freelance journalist, presenter and creator and will be hosting the event.

The event is free to attend and we will provide food and drinks on the evening. With the success of our previous IWD events, it will be a great opportunity to engage, network and make a difference for Females in football in Berks & Bucks.
