The Zuri Awards were founded to recognize, celebrate, and support unsung exceptional women who are dedicated to creating positive change in their communities.

These remarkable women inspire others through outstanding leadership, rising above challenges, and showing courage in the face of adversity.

Aligned with the 5th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls, the Zuri Awards continue to shine a spotlight on women who are making a difference in society.

Our journey has been made possible through the support of valued partners and sponsors, including the Government, Developmental Partners, and both local and multinational private-sector brands.

Over the past eight years, Zuri Awards has achieved incredible milestones:
- Created digital stories for 1,135 submissions,
- Shortlisted 241 nominees and recognized 92 honorees,
- Facilitated 15 trade linkages,
- Raised over USD 388,142.00,
- Positively impacted the lives of 11.7 million individuals.

This year’s Zuri Awards Gala Dinner will be held on 6th March 2025, as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations.

The 2025 International Women’s Day theme, “Empowering Change: Celebrating Women Leading Innovation”, aligns perfectly with our mission to highlight and amplify the incredible contributions of women in creating a better future.
