Your presence would mean the world to us as we come together to support the vital work of Pittsburgh Bereavement Doulas. This is a great opportunity for all of our supporters, not just bereaved parents, to get together in a fun atmosphere and help us raise money for our local families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. As a valued member of our Pittsburgh community, your involvement is crucial to the success of our mission

This is our first major fundraiser and we hope you can help make it a huge success, and have fun doing it! Get your friends and family together and come and have your tarot cards read, marvel at the strolling entertainment, strike a pose in the Mardi Gras themed photo booth and enjoy live music from the Pure Gold Singers.

The mission of Pittsburgh Bereavement Doulas is to support birthing persons and their loved ones who are experiencing pregnancy or newborn loss by providing compassionate guidance through the process of birth, meeting baby for the first time, making the time together meaningful, and saying goodbye.

Like a traditional birth doula, they provide physical, emotional and informational support during labor and birth but have special training in perinatal loss. Bereavement doulas will work with parents to honor this birth and help them make decisions based on their unique values, beliefs, and preferences. With gentle care, doulas will explain what is happening, what is about to happen, and what could happen. We want parents to be left with as little regret as possible, given the overwhelming and sometimes immediate situation. More importantly, they have a passion to work with these families and have hearts full of love for these babies.
