Orsett Golf Club is proud to announce an exciting initiative to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 7th, 2025, aimed at promoting gender equality and advancing the goals of England Golf’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) Policy. The event will bring together women and girls from across the county to champion diversity in golf, encourage participation, and highlight the importance of gender equality in sports.

This special evening, hosted at Orsett Golf Club, will feature a sit-down dinner with an inspiring guest speaker, Liz Hosford, a renowned athlete, musician, and ambassador for organ donation and the transplant games. The event will serve as a platform for celebrating women’s achievements, discussing the future of women in golf, and showcasing the impact of ED&I policies in accelerating gender equality across clubs, counties, and beyond.

Orsett Golf Club is committed to ensuring that gender equality is more than just a policy checkbox – it is a real driver for change. The event is part of a broader effort to establish a vibrant, inclusive women’s network in Essex, starting with the formation of the inaugural International Women’s Day network. The evening will also serve as an opportunity to foster new partnerships, with the Essex Ladies County Golf Association (ELCGA) and the England Golf Union (EGU) invited to collaborate on this important initiative.
