Lean In Girls x IWD 2025: Challenge Stereotypes Session [For Girls Ages 11-15]

When: March 11, 2025

Where: Virtual, United States

REGISTER

In this interactive one-hour workshop, girls will learn to spot and push back against limiting stereotypes – even the ones that might appear to be positive at first glance.

They’ll explore what stereotypes are, examine common misconceptions about girls, and practice effective strategies for saying ‘no’ to stereotypes and limiting beliefs.

KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Stereotypes are biased assumptions about what girls are like (or should be like).
- Girls can experience different stereotypes depending on their unique mix of identities.
- We can’t make stereotypes go away — but we can reduce their power by countering them with accurate information.

This session is one of the most popular offerings from the research-backed Lean In Girls leadership curriculum.
