There are things you can do now that shift the possibilities girls see for themselves and their future.

Research shows that when girls know how to identify and push back against stereotypes, they’re less likely to internalize limiting messages, doubt their abilities, and blame themselves when they experience unfair treatment.

Join us for an engaging conversation to explore the role you can play in empowering girls and young teens who identify with the girlhood experience to challenge stereotypes and embrace their full potential.

KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Discover what the data has to say about the impact of stereotypes on girls.
- Explore actionable, research-backed strategies to empower girls to push back against stereotypes and limiting beliefs.
- Learn more about the Lean In Girls program and how you can leverage the free curriculum to support girls in your community.

This session is perfect for caregivers, educators, and other engaged adults looking for actionable tips and tools to support the girls in their life or community.

SPEAKERS:
Latricia Barksdale, VP, Head of Lean In Girls
Latricia is a DC-area native living in her second hometown of Atlanta, GA. She is a proud daughter, opinionated big sister, and doting aunt who watches more reality TV than she’d care to admit and loves coffee, wine, (most) sports, and traveling the world. Latricia has devoted her career to increasing opportunities for people holding traditionally marginalized identities through leadership development and the transformation of organizational strategies, systems, and culture. She has worked in the nonprofit, education, and financial services sectors and held senior leadership roles at several national organizations overseeing strategy, talent, DEI, and programmatic efforts. Latricia graduated from Duke University, where she majored in Public Policy Studies and Economics and minored in African and African-American Studies. She serves on the board of the Black Teacher Collaborative and is a member of the Junior League of Atlanta.

Kayla Leduc, Program Success Manager, Lean In Girls
Kayla has a broad social impact background in operations, programs, and client/community engagement across nonprofit, philanthropic, and financial services organizations. As the Program Success Manager for Lean In Girls, she is thrilled to support partners as they empower girls to see themselves as the leaders that they already are.

We hope to see you there!
