Join Sendero Centre on March 8, International Women's Day, and participate in RED Talks.

RED Talks is a local symposium featuring key note speakers and local organizations and collaborators. This event is in celebration of International Women's Day.

The IWD 2025 campaign theme is 'Accelerate Action'. Collectively, we can Accelerate Action for gender equality. Step forward in solidarity for International Women's Day (IWD) 2025 on March 8 to help #AccelerateAction.

#Accelerate Action is a global call to recognize and support strategies and activities that advance women's progress. At the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158, which is roughly five generations from now, to reach full gender parity, according to data from the World Economic Forum.

Focusing on the need to Accelerate Action emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.

The event will feature:
- Key note Speakers: Alana Peters, Gracie George, Deena Kordt, Melody Klinck, Dieulita Datus-Hall, Shannon Humphrey, Chelsea O’Donoghue, Dr. Kelly Simo.
- Local organizations and collaborators
- Soroptimist International of Central Alberta Awards

As individuals, we can all take steps in our daily lives to positively impact women's advancement.

We can call out stereotypes, challenge discrimination, question bias, celebrate women's success, and so much more.
