Celebrating both International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month on Saturday, March 8th, with two panels of awesome women who’ve already smashed those glass ceilings.
After each panel, there will be a market place so that girls can approach the panelists to ask those burning, in depth questions they’ll be longing to ask.
10.30am-12.30pm – ‘Jobs for the Girls’ will feature women who work in traditionally male dominated professions. Poppy Lavers builds boats, Sapper Izzy Crooks from Brompton Barracks will be joining us, as will both Helen Rowe and Kate Castle – Civil Engineers with the Rochester Bridge Trust. The panel host is former Kent Police detective (and RLF Patron), Lisa Cutts, and Kent Fire and Rescue will be in the market place for questions.
1.30pm-3.30pm ‘A Sporting Chance’ will feature sportswomen, inspiring the next generation of female players. It includes the first female chair of Medway Rugby Club, Tracy Bullock, and female players from Chatham Town FC’s women’s team. The panel is hosted by Chair of Medway Netball, Steph Brivio OBE.
