Data is everywhere, but making it make sense is the real skill. In this session, you'll learn how to turn raw data into clear, compelling charts with Python. We’ll start by cleaning and prepping the data, then dive into Plotly to create simple, interactive, and animated visuals. By the end, you’ll have something for your portfolio—and skills you can use in almost any job.
The aim of this session is to equip participants with skills that will expand their current data capabilities and enable them to apply those skills across a range of practical, real-world contexts.
Learning Goals
- Make beautiful, effective charts with Python
- Clean, wrangle, and explore data so it’s ready to use (this bit is key!)
- Use charts to tell a story with data
Skill level
Ideally confident with Python (including using libraries), but as we provide the full notebook with code a beginner would still be able to participate and learn from the training.
Browser based notebooks will be used for this session so no advanced installation of software will be required.
