On International Women's Day, we spotlight the Madan Sara of Haiti, resilient women who work tirelessly day in and day out to ensure that food in Haiti makes its way to market. Despite facing intense hardship through poverty, social stigma and sometimes even the threat of violence, their work in food distribution provides not only for their families but also makes them one of the most critical parts of the Haitian economy.
