IWD 2025
As the Chief Human Resources Officer at Theramex, I am immensely proud to continue our active participation in International Women's Day 2025, a celebration that resonates deeply with our mission as a Women’s Health company dedicated to supporting women at every stage of their lives.
2025 marks the eighth anniversary of declaring International Women’s Day as our Corporate Social Responsibility Day globally. At Theramex, every day is dedicated to giving women’s health the attention it deserves. But our commitment extends beyond healthcare; we are equally focused on promoting equality and equity within our workplace.
Accelerating action toward gender parity is a core value that drives our workplace initiatives and culture at Theramex. We recognise that achieving gender equality requires intentional and sustained efforts to address systemic barriers and create meaningful opportunities for women to advance at every stage of their careers. We are dedicated to ensuring that women’s voices are heard, their contributions recognised, and their opportunities for growth are limitless. This means fostering a workplace where women thrive, whether through leadership roles, professional development, or work-life balance.
At Theramex, we believe that when women succeed, everyone benefits—a principle that fuels our determination to be a catalyst for gender parity and equality. Today, women make up 61% of our global workforce, 50% of our senior positions (associate director and above), and 60% of our managers (includes managers and senior managers). We have moved the needle for gender parity from 47% female to 61% female and senior women leaders from 34% to 50%. All gender data is as of February 2025. These statistics reflect our unwavering commitment to gender equality and equity and positions Theramex as a leading example of what companies can achieve when they prioritise diversity and inclusion.
For us at Theramex, accelerating action for women’s health has always been and remains our primary purpose and passion. This commitment is evident in the work we do every day, driving meaningful change and improving lives. We are:
- Influencing government guidelines and policies to create better access for women to medications.
- Empowering women to take control of their health at every stage of life by increasing their access and treatment options.
- Expanding access globally so more women can receive the expert care they need and deserve.
This year we have continued our partnership with Binti, an inspiring organisation dedicated to improving menstrual health and dignity for women around the world. This partnership builds on our previous work with Binti in 2019. Together with Binti, we are:
- Advocating for the normalisation of menstruation to dismantle stigma and myths.
- Supporting access to period products.
In alignment with Binti’s values, we provide free sanitary products in our office bathrooms, reinforcing our belief that menstrual dignity is a right, not a privilege. This partnership underscores our belief that every woman, everywhere, should have the resources and knowledge to make informed decisions about her health and well-being.
As we reflect on the World Economic Forum's projection that it will take 133 years to achieve full gender parity, it is clear that our collective action must accelerate. Theramex is committed to driving meaningful change—not just in the workforce and in the healthcare industry, but in society at large. By championing women’s health, breaking barriers, and amplifying philanthropic initiatives, we are creating a future where every woman can thrive.
In commemorating International Women’s Day 2025, Theramex reaffirms its dedication to gender equality, global health equity, and empowerment in all its forms.
Happy International Women’s Day to all the women driving progress, both in the workplace and beyond!
