Every action counts to accelerate and create a lasting change

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we are called to go beyond recognition and reflection.

This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, is a powerful reminder that progress toward gender equality cannot be passive. It must be intentional, urgent, and continuous. While we have made significant strides in advancing women’s rights, equal opportunities, and workplace inclusion, there is still much work to be done.

The reality remains that women continue to face barriers, both seen and unseen, across industries, roles, and economic opportunities.

Data from the World Economic Forum show that at the current rate of progress, gender parity is still decades away. As a society, we cannot afford this.

At Endress+Hauser, we recognize that diversity and inclusion are not just values to uphold; they are essential to innovation, growth, and long-term success.

It is a no brainer that a workplace that empowers women is a workplace that thrives. That is why we are taking concrete steps to:

  • increase the representation of women in leadership positions through mentorship programs, leadership training, and succession planning that actively considers diversity.
     
  • encourage transparent career progression, ensuring that talented women have the same opportunities for advancement as their male counterparts.
     
  • provide training on unconscious bias and inclusive leadership to create a more supportive environment for all employees.

However, we truly believe that beyond policies, true change happens in everyday interactions.

No single company, leader, or initiative can drive this change alone. Accelerating action requires all of us, leaders, employees, allies, and communities to work together and commit to the cause.

Simple actions like using a gender-neutral language in conversations, or ensuring that all voices are heard in meetings, may seem minor. Yet, these behaviors normalize inclusivity and foster a culture where equality is not just a policy but a practice. Every small action inspires others to do the same and causes a ripple effect. Many people want to support gender equality but aren’t sure how. These small actions provide tangible ways for them. Bottom line is every action counts.

We have integrated clear DEI goals in our Strategy and are fostering an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to bring their full self to work.

We are committed to accelerate change - not tomorrow, not next year, but now.
