March 8 is International Women's Day, a global occasion to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women around the world.
This year's International Women's Day theme is to "Accelerate Action" for gender equality.
The Sony Group's employees who come from various backgrounds work together to promote diverse businesses based on Sony’s Purpose to "Fill the world with emotion, through the power of creativity and technology." This diversity of our businesses and people forms the foundation of our strength in bringing value for society. Furthermore, this is an essential element in creating a better future.
The Sony Group supports various career development opportunities for women. In the field of technology, the winners of the "Sony Women in Technology Award with Nature," which honors researchers who are spearheading breakthroughs for the betterment of society and the planet, were announced in February 2025. We also founded the SONY STEAM GIRLS EXPERIENCE last year, which supports students in Japan studying science and engineering. And to empower creators, who are the source of creating "Kando (emotion)," we partner with Girls Make Games, which fosters the next generation of game creators; we launched the "She Is ..." summit to empower music creators, providing them with the knowledge, networking opportunities, and resources; and we sponsor SheClicks, a community for female photographers,
