The IWD 2026 Global Techathon, hosted by Teens in AI, is a three-month global initiative (January - April 2026) designed to inspire and empower young people aged 12–18 to explore Artificial Intelligence as a tool for social good.

The programme combines:

- Inspiration Week: talks and panels with leading voices in AI, business, and social impact.

- Design Sprints: local and virtual events where teams of students tackle real-world problems.

- Bootcamp Week: hands-on workshops and masterclasses in AI, coding, and entrepreneurship.

- Global Techathon & Demo Day: young innovators present their AI-driven solutions to global challenges, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year’s focus is on:

- 🌍 SDG 3 – Good Health & Well-being

- 🌍 SDG 4 – Quality Education

- 🌍 SDG 5 – Gender Equality

- 🌍 SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities

The Global Techathon unites schools, charities, educators, and industry mentors worldwide to give young people the skills, confidence, and platform to drive change.

With a target of reaching 5,000 participants across 60+ locations, the IWD 2026 Global Techathon celebrates International Women’s Day by bridging the gender gap in technology and championing diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
