IWD 2026 - Celebrating Women Through Poetry and Digital Storytelling

When: March 10, 2026

Where: Drniš, Croatia

REGISTER

On March 10th, students will celebrate International Women's Day 2026 by reading beautiful poems about women, honoring their strength, wisdom, and contributions to society.

Through expressive poetry recitation, students will enhance their reading comprehension, public speaking skills, and deepen their understanding of women's role in our community.

As part of this celebration, students are creating a digital e-book showcasing remarkable women from their country who have made significant impacts through their work, inventions, activism, and contributions across various fields—from scientific research and traditional crafts to culinary arts and cultural preservation.

This project empowers students to:

• Research and document local female role models
• Develop digital literacy and teamwork skills
• Preserve cultural heritage and traditional knowledge
• Raise awareness about gender equality and women's achievements
• Create a lasting tribute to inspiring women in their community

Through poetry and storytelling, we are building a generation that recognizes, celebrates, and continues the legacy of extraordinary women who shape our world.
