Kirtan by Candlelight for IWD 2026

An evening of devotional mantra and sound, connection, community and peace for all by candlelight.

What's Kirtan?

It's a wonderful, devotional mantra and chanting evening.

There is no experience necessary, just come with an open heart and mind.

You can participate as much or as little as you like and you certainly don't need to be able to sing to come along.

This event is open to EVERYONE. Women, Men, Trans Women, Trans Men, Intersex, and Non Binary individuals are welcome.

No experience is necessary.

You can come and sit/lie there and absorb the sounds.

Or you can join in, chant, share and express as you'd like.

I can promise you will love everyone a little bit more after!

It is such a heart opening practice.

As well as a beautiful way to still the mind.

It's a deep and peaceful meditation.

This is a donation event and 100% of the proceeds will go towards:
1) Good Shepard Cork - Emergency Accommodation for women + children
2) Supporting Trans people in Cork

No yoga clothes are required.

Just whatever you are comfortable in.

There will be cushions/blocks and props to sit on, as well as a few chairs but if you know sitting on the floor is uncomfortable for you please bring anything else you'd need to be comfortable.

Please note the venue is up 2 full flights of stairs and there is no alternate entry and so unfortunately it is not accessible for wheelchair users, limited mobility or those requiring assistance to get up there.

I am, however, working hard in the background to change accessibility options in Cork for these practices.
