Royal Aeronautical Society's lecture will discuss what the UltraFan demonstrator programme entails, the key aspects of the UltraFan as a new civil aero engine technology and how the Rolls-Royce development team approached preparing and executing a complex engine level demonstrator test.

Heather Dunbar will also share her career path at Rolls-Royce as part of celebrating International Women’s Day.

Heather Dunbar CEng MIMechE, Chief Development Engineer - UltraFan, Rolls-Royce Plc

Having completed a MEng at the University of Edinburgh in Mechanical Engineering, Heather joined the Rolls-Royce graduate training scheme to begin her career.

Having stayed within the area of Verification and Validation, Heather has extensive experience of both ground testing and flight testing of Civil Large engines cumulating in her current role of Chief Development Engineer – UltraFan
