Breaking Barriers: Women. Health. Africa is a 90-minute virtual event marking International Women's Day 2026.
Women's health in Africa is at an inflection point.
A growing number of founders, clinicians, and investors are working to build solutions that actually serve African women, but the ecosystem is still young, underfunded, and navigating real structural challenges.
This event is where that conversation happens openly.
We bring together four distinct voices:
— A global FemTech expert setting the context: what the rest of the world has learned, what has worked, what has failed, and what Africa can borrow vs. what it must build from scratch.
— An impact investor speaking to what makes African FemTech fundable, what gives investors pause, and what the ecosystem needs to attract serious capital.
— A practicing clinician based in Africa, speaking to the realities on the ground: what women's health challenges look like in a clinical setting and what it would actually take for a FemTech solution to earn a place in her practice.
— Two co-founders actively building a FemTech product in Nigeria, sharing the unfiltered reality of what it takes to build for this market; the assumptions that were wrong, the challenges that don't make it into pitch decks, and the lessons that only come from shipping a product.
The conversation is moderated, honest, and deliberately structured to move from global context to African reality and from expert insight to audience engagement.
This is a working conversation for people who care about getting this right.
