JCI Pearl in Malaysia hosts #BreakTheBias fun run supported by Penang State Government

 February 17, 2022

International Women's Day (IWD) sees a special #BreakTheBias fun run in Malaysia supported by the Penang State Government.

Empowering young people to create positive change

The BreakTheBias fun run is hosted by the Junior Chamber International (JCI Pearl), a non-profit international non-governmental organization of young people aged between 18 and 40 years old.

JCI Pearl's mission is to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change - and is very aligned with the IWD #BreakTheBias theme. The group's vision is to be a leading global network of young active citizens.

A carnival of celebration

The three kilometer IWD fun run is called 'Run with Flying Colours' and sees further support from sponsor OMNE nutridrinks.

Due to the pandemic, the IWD fun run will be their first physical fun run in two years, so it's timely, as the JCI Pearl describes it, to be a "carnival of celebration for International Women’s Day."

Runners are encouraged to bring their family members and friends to participate as the group calls to "#BreakTheBias together!"

JCI Pearl sees the fun run as a perfect opportunity for family bonding. Plus with a range of lucky draw sessions and carnival games, the day provides a great opportunity for community engagement.

The event takes place at the well-known Automall on Karpal Singh Drive in Penang.
