Forging inclusive marketing campaigns
Breezeline, the US operations of parent company Cogeco Communications, is celebrated for its work on breaking gender bias, having been included in Ad Club’s Equity Project Honor Roll. The company was acknowledged for its inclusive marketing campaign named, Voices for Understanding.
The campaign features 30-second public service announcements from non-profit groups that are devoted to promoting unity and understanding around issues of peace, justice, equality and inclusion.
Those featured in the Voices for Understanding campaign include The King Centre, which prepares global citizens to create a more just, humane and peaceful world using Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s nonviolent philosophy and methodology, as well as the Ad Council’s Love Has No Labels. This promotes diversity, equity and inclusion of all people across race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age and ability.
Twelve spots have been created and aired on Breezeline channel lineups, with an airtime value of more than US$4 million since the campaign began in 2020.
