Many IWD featured women creatives get approached for commissioned work

 March 17, 2022

Annually for International Women's Day, one of the missions is to celebrate the work of women creatives and elevate visibility for commercial projects and commissions.

Via the International Women's Day (IWD) website and social media feeds, the work of women creatives is constantly featured and promoted.

This elevated visibility often leads to the women creatives being approached for approved further use of their work, and ultimately commissioned projects.

An example of this is Alba García-Castrillo who designed a fabulous IWD #BreaktheBias themed piece that was featured on the IWD social media feeds. Soon after Alba was swiftly approached by the Head of Content for the Asia Pacific region for Cision, a leading global provider of software that empowers marketing communications professionals to identify key influencers, craft and distribute strategic content, and measure meaningful impact.

Cision sought to feature Alba's #BreakTheBias design in one of their Chinese blog posts and English blog posts and a press release for International Women's Day that provided corporate communication tips for how to #BreakTheBias in PR and Comms. Her work would be seen by tens of thousands of subscribers. Alba agreed, and her work was proudly featured by Cision.
