Learn how to challenge bias with 50 Ways to Fight Bias

50 Ways to Fight Bias is a free, interactive program for all employees. It takes the guesswork out of identifying and challenging workplace bias. Research shows bias training is more effective when tied to realistic situations. That’s why Lean In created over 50 “cards” with specific examples of how bias might occur in hiring, promotions, and everyday workplace interactions. The flipside of each card offers practical recommendations of effective things to say and do in each situation.
This toolkit provides everything you need to run a 60 to 90-minute IWD x 50 Ways to Fight Bias workshop (optimized for virtual sessions), where participants can expect to:
- Watch a short video to learn about the most common types of biases that women face at work.
- Discuss specific examples of bias, brainstorm solutions together, and learn research-backed recommendations for what to do.
- Commit to one action they’ll take to #GiveToGain and fight bias this year.
50 Ways to Fight Bias has been used by thousands of organizations, including Amazon, PayPal, Walmart, and the Wharton MBA Program—and it works. 95% of program participants are more committed to challenging bias, and 96% of managers feel better equipped to discuss bias with their teams.
