The world comes together for International Women's Day (IWD) on March 8 to celebrate women's achievements, reinforce commitment to gender equality, and rally for change.
IWD also provides a key opportunity to help fundraise for women-focused non-profits worldwide.

Let's support the supporters
IWD has been around for well over a hundred years, so too have many issues impacting women's equality. So, with over 1,000 IWD events registered on the IWD website each year by users worldwide, a massive opportunity exists to catapult women's advancement even further.
With the call-to-action for all IWD 2025 EVENTS to include an element of women-focused fundraising, the world steps forward to actively 'Support the Supporters' in forging gender equality.
2025 sees an expanded IWD GIVING program and, in addition to the free IWD 2025 PLANNING TOOLKIT, IWD event organizers can access to key resources and an IWD GIVING DIRECTORY to support fundraising activity across the IWD GIVING ecosystem.
An expanded IWD GIVING program for 2025
The IWD website serves as an important hub for elevating IWD GIVING on March 8 and maximizing year-long fundraising.
With almost 30,000 charities having self-registered an account via the IWD website, a recent consultation process invited input to guide the growth of IWD GIVING for 2025 and beyond.
Although the consultation remains ongoing in the lead up to IWD 2025, so far 91% of women-focused charities surveyed confirm that IWD provides a key fundraising opportunity for their organization. 98% of women-focused charities surveyed seek for their stories to be heard, their impact understood, and their brand reinforced. IWD GIVING can deliver on this.
IWD GIVING actively encourages direct donations to women-focused charitable organizations provideing impactful work across a wide range of areas. 100% of funds raised to date through IWD GIVING have gone direct to IWD Charities, with the largest single unrestricted donation being a hefty six-figure sum.
2025 sees the IWD GIVING program open up to include a far greater number of non-profits becoming recipients of IWD event fundraising efforts, with helpful fundraising tools and resources provided to IWD event managers worldwide.
