Here's an inspiring #AccelerateAction song creatively reinforcing the need for gender equality
A great way to help raise awareness about gender equality is to get your friends and colleagues together and sing. Sing about the challenges, the successes, the actions for gender equality.
Here is a fabulous International Women's Day (IWD) 2025 song to support the Accelerate Action campaign.
Backed by Youth Music, Arts Council of England, and National Lottery Good Causes through the Stability Fund with Spotify, Girl Grind UK is a group dedicated to using their creative talents to forge a better world for all. Through their portfolio of award-winning projects, programs, and events crafted to propel personal and professional triumph, the group champions and uplifts Black, Asian, and ethnically diverse women, girls, and non-binary individuals as they embark on their creative journeys. As such, the group created their own IWD 2025 song.
The composition was supported by Speaking Rights, a group that helps navigate conversations about equality in the workplace.

Put your foot down to the floor, we need to Accelerate Action
Take back your power
Every day, every hour.
No controversy, no more prisoners, I got no mercy.
Full like a Harley.
A hand on the dream, with the others I party.
Step in your stride.
No more hush.
Tonight we ride.
Action.
Action.
All my ladies here belong, it's really what we want.
Action.
Action.
Put your foot down to the floor.
We need to Accelerate Action.
Action.
All my ladies here belong.
It's really what we want.
Action.
Action.
Can't hold us down.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
She's CEO.
No glass ceiling.
No status quo.
Rise up together.
Change the game.
It's now or never.
Go on, meet my chance.
Every penny, come clear the debt.
Stand in your glory.
Let him know his story.
Action.
Action.
All my ladies sing along.
It's really what we want.
Action.
Action.
Put your foot down to the floor.
We need to Accelerate Action.
Action.
All my ladies, sing along.
It's really what we want.
Action.
Action.
Can't hold us down.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Told you once.
Told you twice
Now you're going to hear me.
I told you once.
Told you twice.
Now you're going to see me.
Just don't forget these words I said.
Action.
Action.
All my ladies sing along.
It's really what we want.

Put your foot down to the floor.
We need to Accelerate Action.
Action.
All my ladies, sing along.
It's really wghat we want.
