The Sneham Malaysia Team attended a Press Conference organized by the Penang Women's Development Corporation (PWDC) to announce International Women's Day 2025 celebrations at the state level in Penang.
"The IWD 2025 theme of Accelerate Action is an ongoing effort towards empowering women," said the group. "This is the 13th statewide celebration and it include illuminating our landmark buildings in purple. Collectively, let’s unite in our efforts to create a gender-equal world that's free from bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusivity, where differences are not only acknowledged but celebrated."

Royal Canadian Legion mark the call to Accelerate Action

The Royal Canadian Legion is Canada's largest Veteran support and community service organization, and cares for all those who have served the nation, regardless of when or where they served.
It's Branch 288 Westbank in West Kelowna, British Columbia held an IWD luncheon and said: "This is the first time in legion history that International Women's Day has been celebrated at a legion. The event was a huge success. Our Allies prepared the soup and sandwiches, served the food, and did the clean up. The event raised $850, and is combined with further monies raised from two other events, to be donated to the local women's shelter."
