Many groups worldwide made International Women's Day a great day of giving

International Women's Day 2025 saw many groups and individuals generously support women-focused charities as a way to help Accelerate Action for gender equality.

IWD Giving provides an important opportunity to support the supporters through elevating a focus on their impactful work and fundraising for much-needed donations.

Olympia in London UK helped Accelerate Action by partnering with Smart Works to donate workwear to help women overcome barriers and thrive in their careers.

Smart Works charity helps empower unemployed women

Launched in 2013, Smart Works is an award-winning charity that helps empower unemployed women with the clothes, coaching and confidence they need to succeed at their job interview and transform their lives.

Smart Works supports women at high risk of economic hardship, often struggling with confidence and self-belief in the face of repeated rejection and real barriers to employment. Join our mission to support unemployed women across the UK who need help getting into work. Every donation helps us to deliver our service to be able to provide free high-quality interview-appropriate clothing and interview coaching to women who need it the most.

"The need for Smart Works has never been greater. The legacy of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis has had a disproportionate impact on the women we exist to support. A significant proportion of our clients were single mothers and over half were from an ethnic minority. We harness the power of clothing and coaching to unlock the confidence a woman needs to put her best foot forward at a crucial moment in her life," explains Smart Works.
