Dr Carey Yazeed

Empowering Women to Discover Their Superpowers!

Dr. Carey Yazeed is the best selling author of Shut'em Down: Black Women, Racism and Corporate America and Everyday Struggle: How Toxic Workspaces Impact Black Women.  A former mental health therapist, Dr. Yazeed uses her platform to empower women to discover their work-life balance, set life goals and how to leave toxic situations.

The owner of iThink Change, a boutique agency that provides corporate training, in the areas of accountability, team building and motivation, and communicating about sensitive workplace issues. Dr. Yazeed was named one of Core Magazine's 100 Influential Blacks of 2022. She has been featured in Bustle, Essence, Forbes, and Glamour Magazines, CU Times, Social Work Today and the New York Post.

Dr. Yazeed has spoken and presented for the National Association of Social Workers, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Louisiana Youth Sports Network, Tulane University Black Women Health Symposium and the State of Alabama Head Start Program, to name a few. Her article regarding the dangers of courage culture for women of color set the world on fire as she shared why all women can not safely let down their guards in society.
