Surbhi Arora, Sr Manager is the Global Head of Platform Services within the Software Platform Organization at Addepar. Prior to joining Addepar in 2022, Surbhi has worked for ten years at BlackRock as Engineering Director, working on the Portfolio Management Tools in Aladdin(operating system for investment processes). Surbhi has also led the Development of some key projects and products, at BlackRock, successfully like iShares.com, iRetire - Retirement product offering of BlackRock to its clients, Institutional Client Sites - a Reporting engine for Insti clients in addition to also leading the development of Aladdin Client Sites, Cash Sites and Product Pages globally. Surbhi has also worked in various other organizations like Tata Consultancy Services, Dell and GoldenSource.

Surbhi is passionate about Inclusion and Diversity and had lead that in BlackRock Asia between 2015-2016 and was a core member of Women's Internal Network at BlackRock. In addition, she has been awarded the BlackRock Principles award for Passionate for Performance in 2020, which is given to a few 10-20 people out of 10s of thousands of employees. She was also part of the tech accelerator cohort at BlackRock.

Having worked in two different countries-India and US, she has a good amount of experience in different cultures and has faced and challenged biases along the way. She is passionate about women equality, growing women leaders and  irl education and quality of education for future generations, strongly believing that only these factors can bring about a real change in society and help achieve true women equality. Surbhi has spoken on related topics at Grace Hopper Conference, 2022, member sessions by Anitab.org, Lesbians who tech and allies and more conferences.

She has collaborated with an India based organization - RIEDU(https://riedu-sdg.com/) and helped try to bring a difference through the same. As part of the same she has co-edited the children's book Polestar - Volume I and upcoming Volume II. She is the Program and Research Head for RIEDU and actively runs the Young Editors program in the same, enabling leadership, confidence, inclusivity, equality and creating a better future through the same. Surbhi has earned her bachelor's in technology (Computer Science) from an esteemed university in India.
