Animwaa (She/her) is a highly rated and engaging facilitator with over 9 years’ experience in facilitation, training and teaching topics around race, racism, anti-racism, cultural sensitivity, exclusion and inclusion.
She is the senior strategist and facilitator at Animwaa Consulting.
Animwaa has facilitated several diversity workshops with government agencies, service providers and non-profit institutions.

Animwaa is a change manager with the Prosci® change management certification. With this knowledge and experience she has developed strategies that have revamped and created inclusive work spaces for her clients.
She has a PhD from the University of Calgary where she studied sociology with a focus on racism, ethnicity, inclusion, exclusion, migration and transnationalism. She was a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary where she taught about race and ethnicity. Additionally, she has international experience from Ghana where she was a teaching and research assistant at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
In 2017, Animwaa started a mothers’ support group in her university housing to support new mothers who were from diverse ethnocultural and faith communities. This was to engage the mothers in order to avert postpartum depression.
In 2019, Animwaa founded Afri-Can Connect Society with four other women to support African immigrants in Calgary gain meaningful employment.
