Sue Turner OBE

As a top woman in Artificial Intelligence ethics, Sue inspires women to seize technology to enhance their future

Sue Turner OBE is an acknowledged expert in artificial intelligence (AI), data governance and ethics.

She is passionate about encouraging women to grasp the opportunities that AI and data offer in the workplace, and to take control of how their data is used in all aspects of their lives.

Her career spans leadership roles in entrepreneurial businesses as well as not-for-profits.  

Spotting the opportunities - and threats - that AI was creating, she went back to school in 2020 and was in the first cohort to study the new conversion course MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (graduating with Distinction).  

At the same time, she established AI Governance with the mission to inspire leaders to use AI with wisdom and integrity.

Sue has over two decades of rich business acumen that resonates with international audiences. Notably, Sue serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of purpose-driven businesses and is a mentor at the Alan Turing Institute.  

She works to shift power to disadvantaged communities, raising £27 million for charity and being awarded the OBE for services to social justice.
