Mantate Mlotshwa

Creative entrepreneur, development practitioner, speaker, author & academic

Mantate Mlotshwa has worked in the democracy, rights and governance sector for almost 8 years, managing programs that seek to increase the participation of women, youth and other marginalized communities, in governance processes.

She is a human rights defender who uses her creativity, energy and experience to convene and curate conversations on issues pertinent to the socioeconomic, cultural and political transformation of Africa.

She can speak across the areas of experience, but would lean heavily on the use of the arts and digital media in non-violent resistance, as well as to hold governments accountable.

Having served in various regional and global advisory board positions, Mantate can speak into programming within closed civic and political spaces, focusing on ways that NGOs and individuals can built effective, innovative programs for youth.
