Dr Tiffany De Sousa Machado
Head facilitator & speaker for individual, professional & corporate wellbeing - focusing on cultural shifts & transformational mental health
Dr. Tiffany De Sousa Machado, or Dr. Tiff, is a keynote speaker and expert in transformative wellbeing.
With a PhD in business and psychology, she serves as the Head of Wellbeing and Development at drtiff.com.au and is a Lecturer and Associate Head of People & Culture at the Adelaide Business School, University of Adelaide.
Whether she is addressing leaders at Australia’s largest organisations and universities, working with women facing complex barriers to employment through her work with the GOGO Foundation, or running her signature ‘Transformative Wellbeing’ program, her approach consistently yields remarkable, transformative results.
At a time when record amounts are being invested in workplace wellbeing and many organisations are asking, "Why isn't it working?" Dr. Tiff offers a range of actionable solutions.
Her keynote, 'How we make work actually work for women', focuses on the practical changes we need to make. She argues, while policy changes are crucial for long-term systemic change, our workplaces can become more gender equal and parent-friendly right now without a single policy change.
Recognised as a 2022 Westpac Social Change Fellow and a 2017 Westpac Future Leader, Dr. Tiff is highly regarded for her impactful work.
Dr Tiff would be happy to speak about:
- Her experiences that highlight the challenges women face at work due to gender inequality
- The gap between the public conversation around women, flexibility and work and persistent expectations women face
- Why 'choice' is a lazy scapegoat in conversations about equity at work
- Why we need to call out ‘fake flexibility’. Dr Tiff says, 'most organisations are displacing women from the office to their laptops in the middle of the night. That's not flexibility'.
- The changes our workplaces can make right now to become more gender equal and parent-friendly
- Self-directed wellbeing and practical tools to help you define your wellbeing essentials
