Amy Beeson

Storyteller with techniques and reasons why women should take up space and share their stories.

Amy Beeson is an author and Head of Storytelling at Wordsby. She left her secure job when her first baby was a year old to start a branding and communications agency, after getting a three-book deal with HarperCollins.

In her practical and fun storytelling speeches and workshops she works collaboratively with the women gathered on why we so often find it challenging to take up space and tell our stories or put forward our ideas. How women can use storytelling techniques to develop their confidence and skills to feel less vulnerable. We all worry about looking stupid, that no-one will listen, that someone else is better. Each of us has our own point of view, our own area of experience we can lean into. We are equal.

Many women draw strength from being in a circle with each other. We can use the time we have together to focus our energy, build our confidence and find the words and the means to tell our stories. You're not just doing this for you, but for all of us, because every time women and girls’ share their words, we are seen, and if we are seen, we can start to be heard.
